Phnom Penh Day 1 We landed in Phnom Penh quite late so we decided to get something easy for dinner. We wandered out, aiming for a pizza spot we found on google maps. Hanoi Day 1 After an early start to leave Fukuoka we arrived in Hanoi just after 1 and grabbed a taxi into town. We were both knackered but had one thing on our mind… Banh Mi! Kyoto Day 1 After accidentally having our first bullet train experience the day before, we jumped on again, but this time, to head to Kyoto. Sapporo We arrived in Japan at Sapporo airport after an overnight flight with very little sleep, so we were absolutely knackered but very excited to finally be in Japan. We grabbed a bus into the town but unfortunately check-in was not for about 6 hours, so we had to wander around town whilst we waited. Chiang Mai Day 1 After an amazing time in Bangkok, it was time to (very reluctantly) leave Bangkok. We were once again up at the crack of dawn to get our flights to Chaing Mai. We had thought about visiting Pai but the journey was too long for the time we had. We arrived at our hostel at around 11 so had to hang around for a while. Arrival We arrived late into Bangkok on day 33 and were upgraded into a suite (again hehe), which was ideal after a long day's travel. Having just left the madness that was India we were struck with just how quiet everything was: no horns, no people shouting and screaming, no cars about to mow you down out of nowhere. Days 16-17, Varanasi After an amazing couple of days and about 800km of driving we had to once again take to the skies. We were a little nervous as there was ANOTHER storm over Dehli and our arrival was a tad on the sketchy side... Day 12 and we leave Sri Lanka and say goodbye to our trusty driver Asanka who has driven us all around the island, which is quite sad. There's no time to dwell on it though as we have the mountain ahead of us that is India. The last 5 days have been an absolute blur but an incredibly fun and exciting blur! We started by traveling from Ella over to our hotel in the buffer zone of Yala National Park. After 18 hours of travel we finally landed in Colombo, sun shining, spirits high and absolutely knackered .
